CYCLING TOUR TRANSYLVANIA

Reception of the group by the tour guide. Drive via Bucharest to Pitesti.

 

Drive over the almost unused Transfagarasan Road to the Balea Pass. After a rest, continue by bike in serpentines 1500 m down to Transylvania. Continue to Sambata de Jos.

 

In the morning, city tour in Sibiu with a visit to the Small and Great ring, the Bridge of Lies and the Evangelical Church. Then free time to stroll through town. Then you cycle to Marpold.

 

The goal of the day is the largest fortified church in Transylvania, Biertan, where the seat of the Protestant bishops was until the end of the 19th century.Overnight in Biertan

 

You drive to Medias, where you can visit the Margaret Church and also where you can see the largest winged altar from Romania. Then you cycle to Bazna, one of the most famous health resorts in Transylvania.

 

Today you cycle through Boian, Cetatea de Balta (known in Romania for the production of Champagne), Tarnaveni. There are stops to visit the Saxon fortified churches in all the towns through which you drive.

 

One drives to Copsa Mica, and from here with the driving edge over Tapu and Sura Mica. Even today, stops are made to visit the fortified churches.

 

Drive to Sibiu ; Farewell to the tour guide and flight to Munich.
