In the still well-preserved old town, visit the Margaret Church, which houses the largest winged altar in Romania. Continue to Biertan, one of the most beautiful fortified churches in Romania. Out of necessity to protect the city from the many attacks, especially by the Turks, the citizens fortified their church because they lacked the money to surround the entire city with a fortification. In addition to the impressive defensive walls, the high altar of the church is a special feature. Afterwards visit the medieval castle Sighisoara, which is often compared to Salzburg. The castle is still inhabited and the old streets lead us back in time.
