Itinerary

 Day 1 Thu. Homeland – Ramada: H. Ramada Parc 4* (www.ramadabucharestparc.ro)  

Arrival at the Bucharest airport where you will be welcomed by the guide who will accompany you along the tour. During the afternoon you will get acquainted with the Romanian capital. Here you can visit the Patriarchal Church, the seat of the Romanian Orthodox Head, the Parliament Palace (photo stop), the second-largest building in the world. On Revolution Square, you will be able to experience the events of 1989 up close.
 
Day 2 Fri. Bucharest – Cozia – Sibiu – Bazna: Casa Bazna 3* (www.casabazna.ro)
Drive along the Valley of the Olt River, through the Red Tower Pass the former border between Transylvania and Wallachia. Stop at the Cozia Monastery, the oldest monastery in Romania. The monastery is an example of well–preserved Wallachian architecture, with Byzantine influence, highlighted by alternating brick and stone groups, and carved artificial stairs. During the afternoon you will take a city tour of Sibiu. The former European Capital of Culture in 2007 played an important economic and political role in Transylvania throughout history. The buildings from the Great and Small Rings, the Brukenthal Palace, and the Bridge of Lies are just some of the architectural monuments that influence the city’s entire image. During the evening arrival in Bazna.
 
Day 3 Sat. Bazna – Biertan – Sighisoara – Bazna: Casa Bazna 3* (www.casabazna.ro)                                                         
This day is dedicated to the culture of the Transylvanian Saxons. The fortified churches of Transylvania are among the best–known historical monuments of the Transylvanian Saxons and are being better preserved than in other parts of Europe are valuable architectural monuments.
After breakfast, we will proceed to Biertan, where we will visit the largest fortified church from Transylvania also known as the residence of the evangelical bishops. The next stop on our visit list is Sighisoara, which has the most beautiful and best-preserved medieval buildings in the Gothic-Renaissance and Baroque styles from this part of Europe. The high density of the architectural monuments, the public buildings, the fortified walls, the towers, and the dwellings give the citadel the view of a unique, well-arranged building complex of invaluable historical value. The Church upon the Hill, Count Dracula's birthplace, and the former monastery church can be visited here. In the afternoon return to Bazna. After arrival at Casa Bazna, you are invited to embark on a carriage ride to the fortified church of Boian.                                     

Day 4 Sun. Bazna – Mosna – Predeal: H. Piemonte 4* (www.hotelpiemonte.ro) 
During the morning drive to Mosna. The fortified church is one of the most beautiful from Transylvania. The church has remarkable architecture, in particular the vestry of the sacristy and a very high altar, which is said to be the work of a son of the famous Veit Stoss. Continue to Predeal, a climatic spa located on the Wallachian-Transylvanian border and with 1040 m the highest town in Romania. Dinner at the hotel.
 
Day 5 Mon. Predeal – Prejmer – Harman – Brasov – Bran – Predeal: H. Piemonte 4* (www.hotelpiemonte.ro)
Morning drive to the Saxon fortified churches Harman and Prejmer. These fortified churches were, in addition to the religious practice, used by the residents as a retreat and defensive construction. In the afternoon city tour in Brasov. The city was founded in the 13th century by the Knights of the Teutonic order and was for centuries an economic and intellectual center of the Transylvanian Saxons, who constituted until the 19th century most of the population. City tour in the city center, where you will get to know the most important sights: the Black Church with its pipe organ (outside visit), the medieval city wall around the old city center with stylish late medieval houses, the Town Hall Square, the unique rope street, Catherine’s Gate, and the small hidden Orthodox church from the city center. During the afternoon you will visit the romantically situated Bran castle (also called "Dracula’s castle"), nowadays a museum. During the interwar period, the castle was the residence of the Romanian queen Maria.

Day 6 Tue. Predeal – Sinaia – Tulcea: H. Europolis 3* (www.europolis.ro) 
During the morning, you will visit the Sinaia Monastery, founded in the 17th century by monks from the Sinai Peninsula. You will further continue through Wallachia to Tulcea. In the late afternoon, you will enjoy a Danube Delta cruise with a romantic dinner on board.

Day 7 Wed. – Tulcea – Constanta – Bucharest: H. Ramada Parc 4*(www.ramadabucharest.ro)
Departure from Tulcea to Constanta, passing by the seaside resorts on the Black Sea coast. City tour in Constanta with Ovidiu Square and the Orthodox Cathedral. Afternoon city tour in Bucharest with the visit of the Village Museum. In the evening you will enjoy a festive dinner with a folklore program at the “Hanul lui Manuc” restaurant.                                                                        
 
Day 8 Thu. Bucharest – Homeland  
Morning at leisure, transfer to the airport, and flight back home.
